ReMA

From a store visit to Monday's meeting.

Reps and merchandisers record each visit on their phone. Supervisors follow their team through the day. Managers get the week on dashboards and in a review deck every Sunday at 8pm. Here's each step.

In the store

The merchandiser opens ReMA, picks the next store on today's route and works through its tasks. Each one takes a minute or two.

  1. Check in

ReMA reads GPS until it's accurate enough, checks the merchandiser is inside the store's geofence and takes a fresh selfie. The server checks the distance again, so check-ins can't be faked from the car park.

  2. Availability and price

The store's portfolio appears by category. Mark each item in stock or out and type the shelf price. Prices outside your tolerance of RRP are flagged on the spot.

  3. Share of shelf

Photograph each category. Long bays can be shot in up to five sections, left to right; the AI treats them as one shelf, counts facings by brand and compares your share with target.

  4. Competitor activity and documents

Competitor promotions and displays are photographed with date, time, store and GPS stamped on. GRNs, purchase orders and returns are scanned to small black-and-white images.

  5. Check out

Time in store is recorded. The visit is on the supervisor's screen as soon as the phone has signal.

Taking an order

For pre-sellers, and for merchandisers who sell. The order is part of the visit, taken before check-out.

  1. Pick from the store's catalogue

Enter pieces or cases for each line. Case sizes come from your product list.

  2. See the value

ReMA estimates the value at RRP less the discount set for that category, chain or outlet. The final figure is on your invoice.

  3. Attach proof

Scan a stamped LPO, photograph a cheque with its number, or a mobile-money payment for the previous order. Add a note for the office.

  4. Send

Once it uploads, the order is e-mailed to your order desk, with a copy to the store if it has an e-mail address. An end-of-day spreadsheet follows.

When the signal drops

Supermarket basements and upcountry routes are normal, not exceptions. ReMA is built around them.

Saved on the phone first

Every task is stored on the phone before anything is sent, so a dropped connection never loses work.

Uploaded in order

Finished work uploads one item at a time and retries until it lands. The Today screen shows what's waiting.

Small photos

Photos are shrunk on the phone: about 30 KB for a selfie and 200 KB for a shelf. Bundles last longer.

Only changes download

Stores and products are cached. When your list changes, only the changes come down.

Who sees what

Everyone sees their own work and the people who report to them. Nobody outside your company sees anything.

Rep or merchandiser

Today's route, the tasks for each store and what's still waiting to upload.

Supervisor

Team progress through the day: who has checked in where, stores visited and what was found out of stock.

Manager and director

Store, chain and daily dashboards for any date, 30-day trends, the Sunday review deck and the monthly team report.

Company admin

People, outlets, products, targets and report recipients for your company. Outlets roll up to chain, and to region, territory and country.

Switch on what you need

The core visit is the same for everyone. These modules are turned on per company when we set you up, so a homecare client doesn't wade through expiry checks.
